20% Mohair - 60% Abruzzese wool
Fingering (uk 4 ply) weight with 50g – 225m
We are huge fans of cables and textures, and love to play with our yarns in always different ways.
This sweater designed by Joanna Ang is just a perfect example of this research and purpose.
It's worked from the top down, beginning with 1x1 twisted rib for the double folded neckband. The back of the neck is shaped using German short rows, with increases to each end of the shoulders. Stitches on the shoulder bands are set aside while the front and back pieces are then worked flat separately. After both pieces are joined at the underarm, the body is worked in the round to the hem. Sleeves are worked top-down in the round.
Two strands of A Chic Blend are held together throughout the pattern, you may play with so many possible matches to have a more variegated or a deeper shaded effect !
The origial sample uses PAN DI ZENZERO + NASTURZI for a warm and spicy combo, while our sample uses SELVA+ GIARDINO D'INVERNO for a colder and more wintry result.
