70% Abruzzese wool
Light Fingering (uk 4 ply) weight with 50g – 300m
Reflected lines and perspective take the center stage in this asymmetrical shawl. Short rows, garter stitch and stripes… a well known combination for an enjoyable knit.
This is the description that Joji Locatelli gave to introduce this simple, yet effective wrap, one of those you may wear all year round !
We chose this pattern to feature a combination of two of our most favourite bases together: Aestiva and A Stormy Blend - Acquerelli.
In fact, these 2 work so well in the pattern, and the new 4 shades of Acquerelli we developed just found some perfect matches in Aestiva palette, but of course you may fid endless combos also with teh other Acquerelli shades
Size
Finished measurements: 80” 200 cm from side to side and 26” 65 cm from top to bottom at deepest point.

You will need 2 colors of fingering weight yarn.

Needles
US 2½ 3mm circular or straight needles.
We opted for a larger needle size for our sample (compared to the one used in the pattern), in order to have it lighter and softer!

20 stitches and 30 rows to 4 inches 10 cm in garter stitch, after blocking (really stretching the fabric).
Note: Gauge is not crucial for this project. However, changes might result in a different yardage requirement.
